The Bucksbaum Production Staff serve as the production crew for the Bucksbaum Campus and various venues throughout the city of Aspen. The members of this team staff a myriad of events such as registration, rehearsals, benefits, auditions, meetings, and private concerts Tent here at the Aspen Music Festival and School (AMFS). Individuals will work with orchestra and stage management to arrange accurate and timely orchestral setups along with offering a presence at rehearsals.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Production Manager with the daily operation, scheduling, and supervision of the Bucksbaum Campus venues
- Assist in the training/supervision of the Bucksbaum Production Crew.
- Assist with the load-in and load-out of the annual inventory of pianos (approximately 90 instruments in total) as well as the campus transition between the Aspen Country Day School and AMFS. Setting up the campus for the music festival involves the movement of office furniture, equipment, signage and large instruments.
- Advance the needs of every event taking place on the Bucksbaum Campus and various venues throughout the city of Aspen, including chair/stand setup, technical requirements, facilities requests, and staffing.
- Supervise Production Crew's daily tasks which include preparing equipment needs for large ensemble rehearsals, moving equipment and supplies, maintaining venue and resource schedules, and ensuring the cleanliness and efficient operation of all Bucksbaum Campus facilities.
- The Assistant Production Manager interfaces very closely with all other AMFS departments (opera, orchestra managers, librarians, house management, facilities, artistic, development, and operations) and attends weekly operation logistics meetings.
- BA/BFA in Technical Theatre or Stage Management or equivalent experience with 1-2 years of experience in production experience in a professional orchestral, opera, or theater organization.
- Candidates must be team-oriented and must have the ability to complete a rigorous work list with excellent endurance and a positive attitude. Candidates must also be flexible in addressing the demands of a variety of constituents.
- Candidates must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and materials or, of greater weights in tandem with additional crew member assistance.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required. A DMV check will be conducted for the candidate hired.

Compensation
$1,128.60/week plus housing provided by AMFS.
Benefits include AMFS season pass and paid sick time.
