Zing Recruiting is in the lookout for a talented Manufacturing Engineer who will play a pivotal role in enhancing our steel-making operations. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively collaborate with vendors and internal teams to drive project success. This is a direct hire opportunity at a well-known manufacturing company in the Latrobe, PA area.

Manufacturing Engineer Job Summary:

• Project Development: Collaborate with vendors and internal staff to outline project scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Project Management: Ensure engineering projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all specified deliverables.
• Capital Investment Prioritization: Work alongside operations, maintenance, and technical teams to identify and prioritize capital investments aimed at improving reliability, increasing capacity, and reducing waste.
• Engineering Design: Complete standard engineering and design tasks related to the installation and retrofitting of equipment.
• Troubleshooting Support: Provide daily troubleshooting assistance for equipment to the Maintenance team.
• Specialization: Focus on one of the following disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Combustion.
• Additional Tasks: Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned.

Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Experience: At least three years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Skills:
  • Strong organizational abilities with effective prioritization skills.
  • Capability to make independent decisions on larger assignments.
  • Proficient in design and problem-solving.
  • Experience managing subsets of engineering projects.
  • Ability to apply engineering principles in equipment design and fabrication.
  • Competence in directing outside consultants, contractors, and material suppliers.
