Position Overview:
The Corporate Controller & Office Manager will be responsible for managing the financial health and operational efficiency of all three stores. This role oversees accounting schedules, financial statements, cash flow, and payment processes while leading a centralized office team. The ideal candidate will have a strong automotive accounting background, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple dealership departments. Discounts on vehicles, parts, and service. Key Responsibilities: Financial Oversight: Manage and reconcile accounting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness across all stores. Oversee receivables collection, ensuring timely payments from customers and vendors. Ensure payables are managed efficiently, balancing timely payments with cash flow optimization. Supervise flooring payments to the bank, ensuring compliance with schedules and terms. Perform daily reconciliation of all dealership bank accounts and actively manage cash flow. Transaction Processing: Ensure all car deals from all stores are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Process credit card transactions accurately and efficiently. Verify compliance with financial and regulatory requirements during deal and transaction processing. Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and submit accurate and timely financial statements for all stores. Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to dealership leadership. Office & Team Management: Lead and manage the centralized office staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Provide training and support to staff to ensure adherence to processes and best practices. Work closely with dealership managers (Sales, F&I, Service, Parts) across all stores to streamline cross-departmental collaboration. Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred. Accounting certifications are a plus but not required.
Experience:
Automotive accounting background is
required . New car franchise experience is
preferred . Dealertrack DMS experience is
preferred . At least 3 years of experience as a Controller in an automotive business is
required .
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is
preferred . Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in dealership management software (e.g., Dealertrack, Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK). Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
