The Program Director is an experienced and dynamic team member who leads a companywide complex and highly visible program across the entire healthcare organization. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive strategic roadmap for the program as well as coordinating the implementation of program components, optimizations and upgrades. The Program Director plays a critical role in ensuring successful, continuous optimization of the program systems to support and enhance the delivery of high-quality patient care, efficiency, and technological capabilities. Leads a strategic large-scale company program across the entire enterprise. Develop and maintain a comprehensive multi-year strategic roadmap for the program that aligns with company objectives and healthcare industry best practices. Coordinate the end-to-end implementation of program components and associated projects utilizing Project Managers, Analysts, Programmers, resources provided by vendors, clinical/business users and leaders at all levels of the organization. Manage a portfolio of optimization projects aimed at enhancing program functionality, user experience, and interoperability. Coordinate the overarching planning and execution of program upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to clinical/business operations, alignment with company objectives, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Develop comprehensive plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, change initiatives, risk mitigation, and organizational change. Collaborate with program leadership in the development and maintenance of resource plans. When developing comprehensive plans, ensure compliance with program and company standards, procedures and regulations across the program. Collaborate with teams to propose and implement new standards and procedures as necessary. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including clinicians, technical teams, leaders, and end-users. Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to define program/project goals, scope, deliverables and priorities. Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to report on program/project progress, performance against targets, challenges, and areas for improvement. These meetings include leadership, steering and advisory group meetings. Ensure effective utilization of vendor and in-house resources and tools to maximize the program's capabilities. Collaborate with program and vendor representatives to stay current on product developments, industry trends, and best practices. Then work to implement them across the program. Fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Provide mentorship and professional development recommendations to team members. What We Require:

Education:

Bachelor's degree required; 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare IT including significant experience with the specific program and associated optimizations that this person will be leading. Proven track record of managing programs.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration:

Program certifications in relevant modules is strongly preferred. Project management certification (PMP, Agile, etc.) is a plus.

Other Minimum Qualifications:

Effective written and oral communication skills. The ability to present technical and clinical findings in a clear and concise manner to non-technical or clinical stakeholders. Knowledge of program/project management methodologies and best practices. Goal orientation and action-focused, pragmatic and self-disciplined, good at planning, organizing, and budgeting. Process orientation with strong strategic planning skills and creativity. Strong problem-solving skills and inherent decision-making ability. Strong dedication to deliver quality customer service in a timely manner. Experience with formal or informal leadership, including the ability to lead through influence. Strong knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Teams. About Carilion
