TRG is seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant to provide the Department of Labor (DOL), Employment and Training Administration (ETA), Office of Job Corps (OJC), with Data Integrity, Research, and Evaluation (DIRE) support services.
Job Corps is a national residential training and employment program established to address the multiple employment barriers faced by opportunity youth throughout the United States. The program provides comprehensive career development services to students, including academic, career technical training, independent living skills, career readiness and success training, and support services. The intent of this unique combination of Job Corps' services is to prepare youth for obtaining and maintaining gainful employment, pursuing further education or training, or satisfying entrance requirements for careers in the Armed Forces.
This position is currently on-site, and work will be performed at the customer facility at The Department of Labor headquarters located at 200 Constitution Avenue NW, Washington DC, or at the TRG headquarters in McLean, VA.
Core hours are between 8:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and/or attend meetings, conference calls, and webinars; interact with other support contractors to discuss planned
- initiatives and pilots and follow-up with regional offices
- Provide administrative support to the Data Governance Team including tracking backlog topics, action items and follow-up preparing monthly meeting materials; summarizing research; creating talking points, power points, and other presentation materials
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Write and distribute emails, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
- Develop and maintain a filing system
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures
- Respond to emergency requests or unanticipated inquiries in a timely manner.
- Provide general support to visitors
- Other administrative duties, as assigned
Experience and Qualifications:
- High school diploma with six years of related experience, or an Associate's degree with four years of related experience, or a Bachelor's degree with two years of related experience will be considered
- Candidate's favorable result/outcome of a public trust background investigation required
