Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee all aspects of operations for an upscale dining establishment in the heart of New York City. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. This individual will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, managing day-to-day activities, driving profitability, and leading a team to maintain high standards of service and food quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Team Development: Lead, motivate, and mentor all staff, including front-of-house and back-of-house teams. Oversee hiring, training, and performance management to foster a culture of excellence.
• Operational Oversight: Ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant, including inventory management, supplier coordination, staff scheduling, and overseeing food safety and cleanliness.
• Guest Experience: Uphold the highest standards of service, ensuring an exceptional and memorable dining experience for every guest. Address any guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Financial Management: Manage and analyze P&L statements, implement cost control measures, track key performance indicators, and achieve financial goals.
• Menu and Quality Control: Work closely with the culinary team to ensure the consistent quality and presentation of food and beverages. Assist in menu development and pricing strategies.
• Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns, events, and initiatives to drive traffic and brand awareness.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure the restaurant complies with health, safety, and liquor regulations. Uphold company policies and procedures.
• Event Management: Oversee private events, group bookings, and special occasions to ensure seamless execution and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in restaurant management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Proven experience in financial management, cost control, and budget oversight.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
