A law firm in Denver, CO, seeks an experienced Intellectual Property Partner to lead its intellectual property practice group. The ideal candidate will have a strong intellectual property law background and extensive experience in patent, trademark, and copyright matters.
Duties:
- Lead and manage the intellectual property practice group, providing strategic direction and oversight.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on intellectual property matters.
- Handle diverse intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, trademark registration, and copyright enforcement.
- Conduct due diligence reviews and negotiate licensing and technology transfer agreements for clients.
- Provide legal counsel on intellectual property protection strategies, including portfolio management and enforcement.
- Collaborate with other practice areas within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
- Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and support staff within the intellectual property practice group.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing intellectual property law, preferably within a reputable law firm.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
- Registered Patent Attorney or Patent Agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
- Proven track record of managing complex intellectual property matters and client relationships.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring junior attorneys.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
- Registered Patent Attorney or Patent Agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
