A law firm in Denver, CO, seeks an experienced Intellectual Property Partner to lead its intellectual property practice group. The ideal candidate will have a strong intellectual property law background and extensive experience in patent, trademark, and copyright matters.
Duties:
Lead and manage the intellectual property practice group, providing strategic direction and oversight.
Develop and maintain client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on intellectual property matters.
Handle diverse intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, trademark registration, and copyright enforcement.
Conduct due diligence reviews and negotiate licensing and technology transfer agreements for clients.
Provide legal counsel on intellectual property protection strategies, including portfolio management and enforcement.
Collaborate with other practice areas within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and support staff within the intellectual property practice group.
Requirements:
Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing intellectual property law, preferably within a reputable law firm.
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
Registered Patent Attorney or Patent Agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Proven track record of managing complex intellectual property matters and client relationships.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring junior attorneys.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
Registered Patent Attorney or Patent Agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
