A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of relevant experience in commercial litigation.
Duties:
- Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in commercial litigation matters.
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues related to commercial disputes.
- Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, answers, motions, and briefs.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediation.
- Develop and implement case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Manage and coordinate with outside counsel, experts, and other parties involved in litigation.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and strategic advice throughout the litigation process.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in California.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing commercial litigation.
- Strong litigation skills, including experience with all phases of litigation.
- Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategies.
- Strong oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods is a plus.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
