A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Corporate Transactional Attorney with a focus on emerging technologies, particularly blockchain and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in corporate transactional law, specializing in matters related to digital assets, finance, and intellectual property.
Duties:
- Advise clients on legal matters involving blockchain technology, digital assets, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, including intellectual property licensing agreements, lending transactions, and merger and acquisition deals.
- Provide legal counsel on finance-related matters, including the characterization and regulation of digital assets.
- Assist clients in structuring and negotiating complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal and regulatory issues related to new technologies.
- Conduct due diligence and risk assessment for corporate transactions.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience as a Corporate Transactional Attorney, preferably with the majority of time spent at a single law firm.
- A strong background in new technologies with a focus on blockchain and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
- Experience with finance, digital asset regulation, mergers and acquisitions, lending transactions, and intellectual property licensing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle complex legal issues.
Education:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- A solid academic record demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
Certifications:
- Admission to practice law in the state of California.
Skills:
- Expertise in blockchain technology, NFTs, and digital asset-related matters.
- Ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
- Knowledge of finance, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of relevant corporate transactional experience, with a preference for those who have spent at least 30 months at one firm.
