WestCare Foundation Project Director (SPF-PFS) Chicago, Illinois
Location: 1100 W Cermak B414 - Chicago, IL Position Type: Full Time Required Education: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: Not specified Travel Percentage: Up to 50% Job Shift: Day Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services Position Summary: The Project Director will provide overall leadership, supervision, and oversight for the Strategic Prevention Framework-Partnerships for Success (SPF-PFS) program, serving as a liaison to SAMHSA and WestCare. Essential Job Functions: Provide administrative leadership and supervision to ensure prevention program quality. Monitor compliance with SAMHSA SPF-PFS contract requirements and other standards. Act as a liaison to regional vice president, DFC Coalition, ASN, and external agencies. Oversee the substance abuse prevention youth program, including planning and supervision of program goals and objectives. Implement Quality Assurance and Program Improvement systems. Assist in the development of program fiscal and budgetary tracking systems. Assist with preparation of biannual reports and continuation applications. Embrace and embody the mission, vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation. Perform any other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Essential Qualifications: Education: Masters degree preferred; Bachelors degree in human services required. Experience: Three years in alcohol and substance abuse programs; one year in supervision/management. Knowledge of chemical dependency and substance abuse dynamics. Experience with at-risk adolescents in community settings preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings. Valid driver's license and ability to obtain WestCare vehicle insurance. Ability to maintain CPR certification, first aid certification, and an annual tuberculosis test. Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed in a professional or community setting, with some outdoor activities required. Periodic travel may be necessary, including overnight stays. Essential Physical and Mental Demands: Physical demands include mobility, standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Mental demands involve analyzing data, working under stress, and cooperating with various stakeholders.
