WestCare Foundation Project Director
Location: Chicago, Illinois Position Type: Full Time Education: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: Not specified Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Job Shift: Day Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services Position Summary: The Project Director will provide overall leadership, supervision, and oversight for the Workforce Supports program, acting as a liaison to SAMHSA and WestCare. Essential job functions include: Provide administrative leadership and supervision to the program; ensure program quality. Monitor compliance with SAMHSA requirements and other standards. Act as a liaison to external groups, promoting collaboration. Oversee the workforce development program, including planning and supervision of goals, budget, staff selection, training, and monitoring effectiveness. Implement Quality Assurance and Program Improvement systems. Assist in the development of fiscal tracking systems and manage budget expenditures. Prepare biannual reports and continuation applications. Embody the mission, vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Essential Qualifications: Certifications/Licenses:
Clinical Certification required (CADC, LPC, LCSW, etc.) and experience in counseling. Training:
40 hours of continuing education biennially if CADC licensed. Education:
Masters degree preferred; Bachelors degree in human services required. Experience:
Three years in substance abuse programs; one year in supervision/management. Skills:
Knowledge of chemical dependency, strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. Working Conditions: Work is primarily in a professional or community setting with some outdoor activities and periodic travel required. Physical and Mental Demands: Mobility and physical activity required, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and strong communication skills necessary for client interaction.
