Onto Innovation is seeking a transformative, visionary, and dynamic Vice President of Manufacturing and Logistics to lead and optimize our global manufacturing operations. This critical role will establish foundational manufacturing processes, foster cross-functional collaboration, and drive operational excellence to position Onto Innovation as an industry leader. The ideal candidate will implement data-driven systems to enhance efficiency, uphold the highest quality standards, and accelerate innovation. Key priorities include embedding a culture of continuous improvement, developing pilot production lines, and leading strategic outsourcing initiatives. This role is pivotal in maintaining Onto Innovation’s competitive advantage in metrology, inspection, lithography, and system-level manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:

Transformational Leadership:

Architect and execute a strategic vision for Onto Innovation’s global manufacturing and logistics operations, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals. Unify processes and systems across all product lines and global sites to enhance scalability and operational efficiency. Foster a culture of operational excellence, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement. Manufacturing Leadership:

Develop robust, standardized manufacturing processes underpinned by data and advanced analytics. Drive process innovations to improve operational efficiencies in metrology, inspection, lithography, and system-level testing. Drive lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives to significantly reduce cycle times and improve quality. Strategic Outsourcing:

Develop and implement a strategic outsourcing roadmap for critical modules and products to optimize cost, quality, and delivery. Build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with external suppliers, ensuring alignment with Onto Innovation’s rigorous standards. New Product Introduction (NPI):

Partner closely with R&D and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability & cost efficiency during product development and the seamless transition of new products into volume manufacturing. Oversee the creation and scaling of pilot lines, ensuring seamless transitions from design to prototype to full-scale production. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with Sales and Service teams to align manufacturing and logistics operations with customer needs. Work closely with Finance to manage budgets, capital investments, and cost control initiatives. Logistics and Supply Chain Optimization:

Drive end-to-end supply chain strategies to enhance agility, responsiveness, and cost-effectiveness. Implement best practices in inventory management, production scheduling, and logistics while championing continuous improvement efforts. Data-Driven Decision Making:

Harness advanced analytics to guide strategic decisions and drive continuous operational improvement. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to exceed performance targets. Team Development:

Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing manufacturing and logistics team. Promote a culture rooted in accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred. Minimum of 15 years of leadership experience in manufacturing and logistics, preferably in the semiconductor or high-tech industry. Proven track record of transforming manufacturing operations and driving cross-functional collaboration. Strong expertise in data-driven manufacturing, process development, and supply chain optimization. Experience with strategic outsourcing and managing external supplier relationships. Demonstrated ability to implement innovative solutions to reduce manufacturing cycle times. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
