We are in search of a Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our team located in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will be tasked with carrying out various HR-related functions, with a special emphasis on recruitment. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently handling recruitment functions to attract top talent
• Ensuring the smooth operation of all HR-related activities
• Assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of recruiting trends and practices
• Effectively responding to HR-related inquiries
• Monitoring and managing HR records and documentation
• Collaborating with the HR team to address and resolve staff issues
• Implementing strategies to improve staff engagement and morale
• Conducting regular audits on HR processes and procedures
• Participating in HR projects, as needed.• A degree in Human Resources or a related field is required.
• Demonstrated experience as an HR Generalist.
• Familiarity with general human resources policies and procedures.
• Good understanding of employment and labor laws.
• Proficient knowledge of office software; HRIS systems (e.g. PeopleSoft) will be a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving aptitude.
• A team-oriented mindset with a results-driven approach.
• Additional HR training will be a plus.
• Proficiency in executing recruiting functions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring candidates.
