Are you a numbers guru with a knack for precision and a love for the construction industry? We are looking for a Permanent Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, growing organization where you will play a vital role in our financial department. You will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Your role will involve working closely with our construction project teams to ensure our financial operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Maintaining the general ledger and conducting a thorough review of financial statements to ensure their accuracy. 2. Assisting with the month-end close process and preparing monthly financial reports. 3. Reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. 4. Developing and documenting business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls. 5. Liaising with project managers to review and monitor project costs, ensuring they are within budget and identifying any discrepancies. 6. Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. 7. Collaborating with the financial team to prepare budgets and financial forecasts. 8. Assisting with tax preparation and filing activities. 9. Providing support to the financial department during the annual budgeting process. 10. Participating in special projects and performing ad hoc analyses as needed.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 2 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry. 3. Proficiency in general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. 4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations. 5. High proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software. 6. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail. 7. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 10. CPA or CMA certification will be considered a plus.
