Emergency Department RN Compensation

• The pay for this position is 62.00 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Emergency Department RN Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is 12 hour Mid-Day Shift 12:00pm to 12:00am or 2:00pm to 2:00am

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

·         Provide patient care in alignment with ANA standards and state regulatory requirements.

·         Work within a collaborative team to ensure continuity of care.

·         Advocate for patient/family needs and privacy, following the ANA Code of Ethics.

·         Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop care plans to address patient needs.

·         Provide education and support to patients and families, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.

·         Support patient transitions through discharge planning, ensuring a seamless transfer of care.

·         Maintain accurate documentation in a timely manner.

·         Delegate tasks appropriately to maintain quality and safe patient care.

·         Engage in ongoing learning and quality improvement to enhance nursing practice..

Emergency Department RN Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
• Current Michigan Registered Nurse License (State of Michigan)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required within 90 days
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA required within 180 days
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA required within 180 days
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required within 1 year
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within 1 year
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required for CHS Watervliet only within 2 years
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
