Are you an HR operations manager with a passion for driving operational efficiencies to support a dynamic culture and team? We are a thriving strategic communications, digital and creative agency based in Boston that works with trailblazers in the biotech industry. We are looking for a motivated individual who will provide Human Resources support and high-level service for a client and team-centered agency. The HR Operations Manager will own responsibility of the day-to-day and long-term management of HR administrative functions, as well as drive efforts to implement HR processes across the organization to meet the needs of the business and ensure operational efficiencies.
Please Note: Our headquarters office is located in downtown Boston, MA. Our Boston area employees collaborate in office together three days a week with flexibility/remote work on other days. We are considering local candidate only at this time.

Responsibilities:
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage the complete lifecycle from onboarding new hires to offboarding departing employees, including paperwork, benefits enrollment, and exit interviews.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration: Partner with our external payroll partner to process payroll on-time and accurately, manage employee benefits and partner with benefits broker, and ensure compliance with related regulations.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate employee data within the HR information system, including personal details, employment records, and performance evaluations.
- Compliance Management: Stay updated on employment laws and regulations, ensure all HR practices adhere to legal standards.
- HR System Administration: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HR technology platforms, including training users on system functionalities.
- Leave Management: Manage employee leave requests, including vacation, sick leave, and family medical leave, ensuring compliance with company and federal/state policies.
- Policy Implementation: Support the development and execution of HR policies and procedures.
- Performance Management: Support the performance management process by tracking employee performance goals and provide feedback.
- Recruiting Operations: Oversee candidate logistics like interview scheduling and offer processing.
- Training and Development Support: Coordinate employee training programs and development opportunities as needs are identified.
- Communication and Support: Answer employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and processes. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership to ensure alignment with business needs and proactively raise HR operational matters, potential risks or issues.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ year of work experience in an HR operations role.
- Experience within a small- to mid-size organization and/or operating as an individual HR practitioner within an organization.
- High level of emotional intelligence and integrity, trusted to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in relationship building with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple priorities demonstrating excellent time management skills, organization, and attention to detail.
- Self-starter with an aptitude for problem solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of team.
- Team player; always open to helping colleagues.
- Can-do attitude, willing to take on any task.
