Job Summary: The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role involves leading a team of housekeeping staff, coordinating cleaning schedules, and maintaining a luxurious environment for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
    1. Supervise and train housekeeping staff, providing guidance on cleaning procedures and service excellence.
    2. Conduct performance evaluations and foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
  • Quality Control:
    1. Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure adherence to luxury standards of cleanliness and organization.
    2. Address and resolve any cleanliness issues or guest complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Operational Management:
    1. Develop and implement cleaning schedules, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
    2. Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linens, placing orders as needed.
  • Guest Experience:
    1. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and enhance guest satisfaction.
    2. Anticipate guest needs and preferences to personalize housekeeping services.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    1. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
    2. Conduct regular training on safety protocols and best practices.
  • Administrative Duties:
    1. Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including staff schedules, inventory, and inspections.
    2. Assist in budget management and cost control initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality Management is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in housekeeping, with supervisory experience in a luxury hotel preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment with physical demands, including lifting and bending.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and various indoor environments.
