Nurse Consultants
to support a
local contract in
Washington, DC
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate organizational assessments. Conduct on-site financial assessments. Have one-on-one meetings with participant executive and fiscal management staff to assess their internal financial controls, written fiscal policies and procedures, and then consult with organization management to identify and prioritize their financial capacity building needs. Conduct independent evaluations of programs, projects, and approaches. Provide support for current and prospective community collaborations. Provide technical assistance in the development of new collaborations and maintenance of current one, on, but not limited to, these elements: setting common goals, measures of success, timeframes, developing agreements, incentives to collaborate, information sharing, strategic planning and program planning. Provide technical support to Strategic Planning participants in the development of a sustainability and service plan. Develop and implement focus groups, including meeting logistics, space arrangements, participant fees, moderators, note- taking and preparation of reports of the activities. REQUIREMENTS
Education : Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN), Preferred: Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Masters in Health Administration or similar field. 7-10 years
of experience in a nursing role or healthcare-related field, particularly in public health, disease management (HIV, TB, STDs, Hepatitis), or nonprofit healthcare management. Background in disease management, healthcare policies, and experience in leadership and organizational assessments. Subject matter expert with experience managing nonprofits, as well as subject matter expert with experience managing HIV, hepatitis, STD, or TB-related program Advanced knowledge and experience in managing and treating HIV, STDs, Tuberculosis, and Hepatitis, including the implementation of biomedical prevention strategies like
PrEP
and
PEP . Familiarity with public health initiatives and a demonstrated ability to contribute to disease prevention, health promotion, and community engagement strategies. Proficiency in using epidemiological data to inform program decisions, monitor progress toward goals, and report outcomes. Knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and funding mechanisms relevant to infectious diseases and public health programming. Preferred:
Proven ability to collaborate with health and community-based organizations, conduct public outreach, and facilitate culturally competent conversations. Expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating health programs and initiatives, particularly those focused on increasing care linkage, retention, and equitable health outcomes. Experience in applying social marketing principles to health education campaigns, including creating sex-positive, inclusive, and stigma-reducing messaging.
HOURS OF OPERATION Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. May require some weekends.
PAY
