Job Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an HR Generalist in the manufacturing industry. The role is based in PORTAGE, Michigan, United States. As an HR Generalist, you will be involved in various HR functions such as leaves management, workers' compensation, and claims handling. You will be working closely with the HR assistant and CFO. This role is 100% onsite, M-F, 8am-5pm.
Responsibilities:
• Manage leaves of absence and FMLA processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
• Handle workers' compensation claims
• Collaborate with HR assistant and CFO for smooth operation of HR functions
• Utilize HRIS systems like UKG and Kronos for maintaining accurate employee records
• Participate and present in regular weekly team meetings
• Facilitate effective communication regarding medical matters
• Oversee the recruitment process, though this is not a primary responsibility
• Ensure all employee relations are handled in a detail-oriented and compliant manner
• Use ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, and Dayforce for various HR functions
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and regulations.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist in the manufacturing industry
• Proficient in utilizing ADP - Financial Services for HR-related tasks
• Familiarity with UKG
• FMLA process experience is a must
• Processing employee leave experience is a must
• Must be able to manage worker's compensation claims
• Knowledge of Kronos
• Experience in using Ceridian and Dayforce HR management tools
• Capable of managing various benefit functions
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrable knowledge of compliance regulations in HR and manufacturing industry
• Proven track record in managing employee relations
• Experience with Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) procedures and regulations
