Jarbo Employment is seeking an Assembly Technician - Assembler with experience assembling products in a manufacturing setting and would like to join a great working environment.

POSITION SUMMARY - Assembly Technician - Assembler

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to specifications and blueprints. The position assembles production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintains a safe, organized, and clean work environment. This role works independently and is expected to be self-driven.

SHIFT - Assembly Technician - Assembler:

  • Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-4 p.m./8 a.m.-5 p.m.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Assembly Technician - Assembler

  • Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
  • Utilize hand-held tools
  • Maintain inventory of products in workstations
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
  • Perform all work following quality standards and established safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Perform load tests as required by customer engineering
  • Apply various adhesives and sealants with appropriate applications per customer specifications
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS - Assembly Technician - Assembler

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED
  • 1+ years of experience in mechanical assembly
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering plans, procedure manuals, and work instructions.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Quality-minded with a high mechanical aptitude and high attention to detail
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
  • Can-do attitude with the ability to take on new responsibilities as needed.
