Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join an established Electronics Manufacturing company. This is a
hybrid
position and would require you to be
onsite 3 days
a week in
Atlanta, GA
. The Senior Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing and managing advanced network security solutions to protect the organization's digital infrastructure while collaborating with global teams to enhance overall security.
Responsibilities Senior Network Security Engineer:
Design, implement, and maintain network security systems, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention tools. Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify and mitigate security threats and vulnerabilities. Collaborate with the Global Information Security team to align with security strategies and policies. Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to strengthen the organization's security posture. Stay informed about emerging network security threats and implement proactive measures. Qualifications Senior Network Security Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, CISSP, CEH) preferred. 7+ years of experience in network engineering, focusing on network security and related technologies. Proficient in configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies. Strong understanding of network protocols, security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO), and industry best practices. Experience with SIEM systems and network security monitoring tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and strategic mindset. Ability to work effectively in a global team environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members and lead security initiatives.
Compensation for the Senior Network Security Engineer:
Salary:
$120,000-150,00 depending on experience
