About the Company
LHH is working with our client growing organization seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team in Sacramento, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to contribute to a supportive and collaborative environment.
Position Overview
The HR Generalist will play a key role in managing day-to-day human resources operations, supporting employees, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This is an onsite position with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes.
Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and troubleshooting.
Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Conduct employee relations activities, including addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to ensure compliance with labor laws.
Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
Track and report on HR metrics, such as turnover rates and employee satisfaction.
Conduct audits of employee files, I-9 compliance, and other HR documentation.
Collaborate with management to implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of HR experience in a generalist role.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations (California-specific knowledge is a plus).
Experience with payroll processing and HRIS systems.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive information.
