A law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking an Intellectual Property Attorney with the following qualifications:
Job Overview:
- Work closely with other partners and senior associates on patent and trademark issues.
- Significant experience in Patent and Trademark Litigation.
- Preferably admitted to the Patent Bar.
- 8-12 years of patent and trademark litigation and dispute resolution experience practicing in a law firm.
- Strong litigation skills, excellent drafting and communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within deadlines and on a team.
- Engineering or computer science degree or significant experience litigating patents in these technology areas.
- Member of the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming one.
Duties:
- Handle patent and trademark litigation cases.
- Provide legal counsel on intellectual property matters.
- Conduct legal research and analysis.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
- Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Stay updated on changes in intellectual property laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in Florida.
- Admitted to the Patent Bar (preferred).
- 8-12 years of experience in patent and trademark litigation.
- Strong litigation skills and experience in dispute resolution.
- Excellent drafting and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
Education and Certifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida Bar.
- Admission to the Patent Bar (preferred).
Skills:
