A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Insurance Attorney to join its growing M&A Insurance Practice in Boston, MA. This role involves representing insurance companies in a variety of claims related to mergers and acquisitions. The successful candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in insurance coverage law and will play a key role in managing complex disputes, both nationally and internationally. Duties:

  • Represent insurance companies in litigation and dispute resolution arising from M&A transactions.
  • Handle complex claims and disputes on a national and international scale.
  • Draft legal documents, conduct research, and analyze legal issues related to insurance coverage matters.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop case strategies and provide high-quality legal advice.
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to junior attorneys and legal staff.
  • Manage a diverse caseload and meet tight deadlines efficiently.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and communicate regularly with clients, including those based in New York and London.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in insurance coverage law, particularly related to M&A transactions.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent quantitative abilities and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience supervising and mentoring junior attorneys is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to legal excellence.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar admission is required, with the ability to obtain Massachusetts bar admission quickly if not already licensed.
