Description

  • Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain pricing information and quotes.
  • Analyze historical data and current market trends to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
  • Work closely with project managers and engineers to identify potential risks or discrepancies in project scope or design.
  • Prepare and submit bid proposals, including cost breakdowns and project timelines.
  • Track and update project costs throughout the construction process, identifying any deviations from the original estimate.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts and change orders with clients and subcontractors.
  • Maintain a database of cost estimates, quotes, and vendor information for future reference.

Profile

  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, with a strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex project specifications and provide accurate cost breakdowns.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and regulations.
