We are recruiting for a Transaction Manager within the Financing & Balance Sheet Management group within the Total Fund Management (TFM) department.
Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will assist in managing various financial transactions ranging from ensuring the smooth operation of our treasury balances, analyzing and providing guidance on daily cash flows, periodic auditing of our procedures with the ability to model where necessary, updating biweekly and quarterly presentations (both internal and external) as well as getting involved in documentation of either new issue transactions or master documents for the purpose of onboarding new counterparties. The transaction manager will work closely with CPPIB in-house Legal, Compliance, and Risk, as well as interacting with various investment departments. We are looking for someone with exceptional attention to detail, a demonstrated history of client interaction and a desire to work in the capital markets.
Accountabilities:
Managing the new issue documentation process, involving interaction with dealers, internal and external counsel, dealer’s counsel, ratings agencies, and deal teams.
Analyzing cash flows, FX flows, interacting with investment departments to understand the deal pipeline, and optimizing & auditing best practices on the desk.
Ensuring the smooth confirmation, ticketing and balances of secured financing transactions.
Updating biweekly and quarterly internal and external presentations. These presentations inform risk positions, PnL, whilst others are more technical in nature, requiring an understanding of the fund.
Specialized Business and Domain Knowledge:
We are looking for someone with a transaction management background, preferably with demonstrated front-office experience and extreme attention to detail at a major audit firm.
Education and Experience:
5+ years of audit experience considered an asset
