We are presently recruiting for an Associate within the Technology & Data (T&D) Strategy and Operating Office. In this role, you will be accountable for the planning and analysis of the Market Data & Subscriptions expense lines across CPP Investments. The Opportunity: Work independently to lead and coordinate the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process for Market Data & Subscriptions across all departments, ensuring information accuracy Make abstract connections between information sources to conduct analysis around spend trends and variances Design and structure reports with specific information that provides clear illustration of point; this includes creatively conveying data and analysis with charts, tables and other visuals Drive efficiencies in the expense reporting and analysis process and present spend reporting results to business management teams and/or executives Address ad-hoc business requests to facilitate CPP Investments-wide discussions and analyses Work with the Data Scouting team on proactively identifying cost optimization opportunities for presentation to business partners Partner with our external vendor Calero to support our management of the Market Data Management (MDM) solution from a dashboard and reporting perspective Identify and develop processes that drive efficiency and effectiveness for the team Minimum Requirements: Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business or equivalent, with a professional accounting designation Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar financial planning & analysis role; experience with Market Data preferred but not required Communicate in a clear, succinct, organized and convincing manner verbally and in writing Independent, resourceful and able to work collaboratively with business stakeholders and T&D colleagues Demonstrated experience and knowledge of accounting and budgeting concepts Intellectually curious, self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and new challenges Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and work in a high-performing culture, under pressure and with time-sensitive deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint Demonstrated ability to succeed in a high performing culture, open to and comfortable with evolving changes and new challenges Exemplifies our Guiding Principles of partnership, integrity and high performance At CPP Investments, we are committed to diversity and equitable access to employment opportunities based on ability.
