The Role:
As a traveling superintendent, you will be at the forefront of managing on-site ground-up construction, leading subcontractors, and overseeing scheduling, communications, safety practices, and site walkthroughs. You will report directly to the VP/Director of Field Operations, ensuring project efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in selecting and managing subcontractors.
- Analyze project timelines and scheduling to meet deadlines effectively.
- Lead safety meetings and enforce safety protocols on-site.
- Maintain clear communication with project management teams, clients, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct walkthroughs, inspections, and oversee punch list checks.
- Review and sign off on proposed change orders.
- Cultivate relationships with subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Travel is an essential component of this position.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a lead superintendent role.
- Proven track record managing projects over $10 million in the commercial sector.
- Familiarity with project management software is a plus.
- Experience in ground-up construction is required.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
