The Role:

As a traveling superintendent, you will be at the forefront of managing on-site ground-up construction, leading subcontractors, and overseeing scheduling, communications, safety practices, and site walkthroughs. You will report directly to the VP/Director of Field Operations, ensuring project efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in selecting and managing subcontractors.
  • Analyze project timelines and scheduling to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Lead safety meetings and enforce safety protocols on-site.
  • Maintain clear communication with project management teams, clients, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct walkthroughs, inspections, and oversee punch list checks.
  • Review and sign off on proposed change orders.
  • Cultivate relationships with subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Travel is an essential component of this position.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a lead superintendent role.
  • Proven track record managing projects over $10 million in the commercial sector.
  • Familiarity with project management software is a plus.
  • Experience in ground-up construction is required.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Commitment to safety best practices.
