JOB TITLE: Data Integration Analyst
REPORTS TO: Data Manager
JOB SUMMARY: The Data Analyst is responsible for the development of network and school based trackers and visualizations that contribute to actionable data analysis and school performance, as well as support of SIS management and scheduling for integration into systems for rostering and analysis.
MAJOR PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Data Analysis and Visualization
Respond to schools’ data and analysis needs in a timely manner.
For each request, collaborate with requesters to set clear requirements, and produce data or analysis that meets said needs.
Iterate frequently through each request in order to provide timely updates to requesters and incorporate their feedback through the process.
Assist in maintaining and improving LEAD Data Central.
Develop and maintain dashboards.
Review the Data Central site for usability and propose improvements.
Develop and maintain trackers for all schools plus network-level users.
Systematically assess the accuracy and reliability of data that school and network stakeholders use, from tables of requested data to data as it appears in trackers and dashboards.
Bring technical expertise to decision making at the network and school levels. Document and present data and analysis effectively, helping to ensure decision makers accurately understand what they see.
User Support
Support the implementation of systems within all LEAD and authorizer Student Information Systems (SISes) for effective data tracking and rostering. Support the Data & Technology Team with rostering from MNPS, ASD, and TPCSC student information systems.
Assist schools with bulk schedule updates and modifications. Own the tactical steps needed to make these updates in LEAD’s student information system (SIS). Work closely with the Data Manager to ensure schedule updates align with network scheduling strategy.
On an as-needed basis, help teach schools how to manage technical tasks, including but not limited to: tracker maintenance, SIS management, and light troubleshooting.
Support the broader initiatives of the data team, as needed.
Provide a high level of customer service to school teams for their data needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 2-3 years of strong data analysis and project management experience.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in classroom teaching with expertise in making classroom data analysis actionable. Charter school experience is a plus.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Flexible and creative problem-solver with ability to learn technical skills quickly.
Impeccable organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills.
Strong ability to prioritize, manage and execute projects with autonomy.
Advanced experience and proficiency with MS Excel or Google Sheets preferred. Knowledge of executing logic and lookup functions such as VLOOKUP, IF, and MATCH.
Strong quantitative skills with experience and demonstrated proficiency in managing large and/or challenging datasets preferred; experience or interest in learning SQL and BigQuery required.
Experience working with a SIS and creating or modifying student schedules is preferred.
Ability to build trust and drive change by forming good relationships with staff, administration, state and district representatives, and outside vendors.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Customer-service orientation; understand end-user needs by proactively gathering requirements.
