Job Posting: Senior Legal Recruiter
Location: Galleria Area, Houston, TX
Position: Full-Time, In-Office

Our client, in the prestigious Galleria area of Houston, is seeking a Senior Legal Recruiter to join their team. If you are a seasoned recruiter with a proven track record in hiring top legal talent, including QC attorneys, Tax Controversy attorneys, Litigation/Trial attorneys, and paralegals, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the firm's recruitment strategy and growth.

This role requires a dynamic, self-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and is comfortable with a traditional office-based, longer hours work setting.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Recruitment: Partner with key executives and hiring managers to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at attracting high-performing legal talent across multiple practice areas.
  • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Lead the full life-cycle recruitment process including sourcing, interviewing, scheduling, negotiating, and closing candidates for various legal roles (QC Attorneys, Tax Controversy Attorneys, Litigation/Trial Attorneys, and Paralegals).
  • Branding & Marketing: Design and execute effective employment marketing and branding strategies to attract passive candidates using social media, networks, and various recruiting platforms.
  • Candidate Sourcing: Utilize a variety of recruiting channels to build a robust pipeline of qualified legal talent. Conduct direct sourcing, networking, and prospecting to proactively identify potential candidates.
  • Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and leadership to stay informed on staffing needs and requisition status. Keep hiring managers up-to-date on candidate progress.
  • ATS Management: Ensure the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is kept up-to-date, accurate, and organized. Manage requisitions and candidate status efficiently.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned to support recruitment efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in a staffing agency or corporate recruiting role, specifically with full life-cycle responsibility for recruiting QC Attorneys, Tax Controversy Attorneys, Litigation/Trial Attorneys, and Paralegals.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent interviewing and assessment skills to facilitate an effective selection process.
    • Ability to communicate the recruitment process clearly to hiring managers and candidates.
    • Proven expertise in direct sourcing, networking, and building candidate pipelines.
    • Strong negotiation skills to close candidates and manage compensation/offer terms.
    • Highly organized with excellent follow-through, attention to detail, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
