We are actively searching for an HR Director to join our team located in WIXOM, Michigan. In this role, you will report to the President and work closely with various departments to achieve business goals. You will be tasked with planning, leading, developing, and coordinating policies, activities, and staff members of the HR department while ensuring legal compliance and alignment with the organizational culture and mission.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee a wide range of HR programs including workforce planning, compensation, benefits, and leave management
• Address disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, and separations effectively
• Manage performance and talent, focusing on productivity, recognition, morale, and succession planning
• Ensure occupational health and safety, and oversee training and development initiatives
• Support organizational change, internal communication, and employee satisfaction
• Contribute to key business transformation initiatives, including the design and implementation of employee policies
• Build relationships with the leadership team to assist in new employee onboarding, engagement, leadership development, and retention
• Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Keep abreast with trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law
• Coach and guide company leadership and managers on a range of topics including employee relations, discipline, policy compliance, morale, communication, and performance management
• Identify staffing and recruiting needs and develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management
• Develop, implement, and maintain the departmental budget
• Facilitate detail-oriented development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.• Proven experience as an HR Director for a minimum of 5 years
• Proficiency in managing benefit functions within an organization
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in maintaining compliance with HR laws and regulations
• Strong background in managing employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management
• Experience in developing and implementing effective onboarding programs
• Proven track record in corporate recruiting, including talent acquisition strategies and employer branding.
