Position - Construction Estimator

Fulltime role

Location Lanham MD
They are a national commercial general contractor located in Lanham,
Maryland that specializes in the construction of retail, restaurants, fitness centers and car washes.
We are currently seeking an Estimator with 7+ years commercial construction experience with a
focus on retail, restaurants, and ground up projects.

Core Qualifications:
• 7+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to review and write scopes of work for all
Construction Trades (Division 1-16)
• Ability to assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
• Planning and organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Trustworthy, self-motivated, passionate and dedicated to high-quality work
• Working with others
• Thorough knowledge of Windows/Word/Excel a must.
Responsibilities include:
Review specifications and drawings
Attend pre-bid meetings
Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to review and write scopes of work for all
Construction Trades (Division 1-16)
Ensure sufficient subcontractor coverage for each and every bid.
Ability to review bids against plans to ensure full scope of work is covered,
Prepare bid general conditions and review with operations before bid submittal.
Ability to compile pricing for final bid to owners.
Assist with pricing change orders if required.
