We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, United States. The selected candidate will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that encompass both accounting and human resources tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Execute and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Handle and process payroll and benefits for the workforce
• Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records
• Utilize accounting software systems effectively for financial management
• Maintain and update the general ledger as required
• Assist with HR duties, including the onboarding process and benefits administration
• Manage and process grants accurately and efficiently
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential
• A comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is needed
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is crucial
• Mastery in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary
• Ability to handle Billing Functions is a must
• Knowledge of Benefits Payroll is required
• Understanding of General Ledger procedures is important
• Skill in Account Reconciliation
