Job Purpose:
The Accounting Clerk supports the financial operations of the company by accurately processing transactions, maintaining detailed financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is essential in processing accounts payable and contributing to the overall success of the Accounting department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting software and maintain updated records.
- Accounts Payable: High-volume, process invoices, verify expenses, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and detailed financial records and documentation.
- Auditing: Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Communication: Liaise with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve any financial issues or inquiries.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
- Accounts Receivable: Generate invoices, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on overdue accounts.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma required; an associates degree in accounting or a related field ispreferred.
- Experience: Previous work experience in accounting or bookkeeping is acceptable instead of education.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting processes.
- Aptitude to learn company software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, working standard business hours from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
- In-office environment, no remote or hybrid options.

REQUIRED:
- High School diploma
- High-volume AP experience
- 3 year experience in Accounting
- Strong computer skills, use of Outlook, Excel, Word
- Ability to learn and use the companys ERP system
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Time management skills
- Professional phone presence
DESIRABLE:
- Associate degree or higher
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable
- Experience in using Epicor P21 ERP system
