Fort HealthCare is a patient-centered hospital and healthcare system serving individuals, families, and businesses in Jefferson, Dane, and Walworth Counties. We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting team.

The Accounting Specialist performs bookkeeping and financial analysis functions in connection with maintaining the financial records of the hospital.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Processes standard and purchase order invoices on a daily basis including patient refunds and employee reimbursements.
- Reconciles vendor statements and handles necessary vendor correspondence.
- Maintain and update vendor files as needed.
- Prepares 1099 forms and submission of files to IRS and Wisconsin Department of Revenue.
- Maintains and requests checks when needed for petty cash.
- Order and maintain department supplies.
- Prepares general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly and annual basis.
- Prepares work papers for the annual audit.
Requirements of this position include:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Associate degree preferred
- 1-2 years accounting experience required
