Fort HealthCare is a patient-centered hospital and healthcare system serving individuals, businesses, and families in Jefferson, Dane, and Walworth Counties. We are seeking an Environmental Service Technician to join our EVS team.

9:30 pm - 6:00 am

The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for maintaining and promoting a healthy and safe environment within the facility while reducing the spread of infection. This includes daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning of patient rooms and non-patient care areas of the hospital.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Complete daily, isolation, and discharge/transfer cleaning of patient areas following Aramark SpaceCare QL cleaning procedures including use of patient interaction terminology.
  • Complete cleaning and relocating of medical equipment in patient and outpatient areas following Aramark SpaceCare QL cleaning procedures.
  • Complete terminal cleaning of LDRP, C-Section, and outpatient rooms following Aramark SpaceCare QL cleaning procedures.
  • Complete scheduled cleaning of non-patient areas following Aramark SpaceCare QL cleaning procedures.
  • Respond to requests for specific cleaning tasks putting an urgency on emergency requests.
  • Collect and transport soiled linen, trash, recycling, and infectious waste from designated areas following proper disposal procedures.
  • Vacuum carpeted corridors, entrances, waiting, and lobby areas as scheduled, perform light and deep extraction of carpeted areas as scheduled using the Aramark CarpetCare QL program.
  • Wet/dry mop and machine scrub corridors, entrances, waiting, and lobby areas as scheduled. Perform floor finishing procedures including stripping, finishing, and burnishing as scheduled using the Aramark FloorCare QL program.
  • Laundering of mops, rags, and other cleaning supplies for use by staff. Exchange and laundering of cubicle curtains. Laundering of other department items as requested.

Qualifications

Preferred:

GED or better in GED.

High School or better in High School Diploma.
