Description
Foster Care/Resource Parent Support Worker needed for full or part-time position in Philadelphia County.
The Worker provides services to children, and their families referred from County Children and Youth agencies as well as Philadelphia Community Umbrella agencies filling the role of Foster Care Worker for County referred cases and the role of Resource Parent Support Worker in CUA referred cases.
The Worker's role in foster care cases referred by counties is to provide case management services in consultation with the referring County worker. The Worker supports the overall goal of permanency for each family and child. The Worker ensures the foster resource home complies with regulations and re-certifying homes by the anniversary date of their initial approval.
The Worker's role in cases for children with a Community Umbrella Agency is to provide non-casement services to the foster resource parent caring for the child/youth placed in their home. The Worker ensures the foster resource home complies with regulations and re-certifying homes by the anniversary date of their initial approval. The Worker supports the resource parent's care of the child/youth placed in their home.
Position Requirements
BSW/MSW required, Experience in child welfare, casework, or childcare is beneficial. One year of experience working with children and families in a professional setting is required.
