Job Description
Contract Duration: 3 months (with potential for extension)
Location: Alexandria, VA (On-site, 5 days/week)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Day-to-Day Operations:
- Manage and coordinate office activities, including scheduling, mail distribution, and facility maintenance.
- Provide administrative support to visitors, staff, and leadership.
- Oversee office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
- Human Resources and IT Support:
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Coordinate with HR and IT departments to ensure smooth transitions.
- Provide guidance on HR policies and IT procedures.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with various departments (Finance, Operations, HR) to manage document flow and information sharing.
- Collaborate with building management to maintain a secure and safe office environment.
- Executive Support:
- Provide administrative support to senior leadership, including scheduling meetings, processing expense reports, and preparing reports.
- Assist with conference planning and logistics, including coordinating with committee staff and managing shipping and freight.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Problem-solving and initiative-taking abilities
- Experience in a fast-paced office environment
Note: This is a contract position requiring on-site presence in Alexandria, VA, 5 days per week.
