MAU is hiring a Controls Manufacturing Engineer for Robert Bosch in Charleston, SC. - Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) with 3+ years of technical experience
- Hands-on experience with advanced automated equipment technologies, including press/torque systems, robotics, automated axis systems, vision systems, and feeding systems
- Proven experience in mechanical tool and hardware design or upgrades
- Programming experience preferred (e.g., PLC programming, C#, Python, HTML/JavaScript)
- Proficiency with data analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Background in high-volume, high-technology manufacturing processes, preferably within the automotive industry
- Ability to interpret and define electrical schematics, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic plans
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing systems and concepts (e.g., BPS)
- Strong project leadership skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines
- Effective team player with a high degree of self-initiative, able to work cross-functionally
- Skilled in utilizing problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Shainin, 5 Whys) to address complex manufacturing challenges
- Willingness and ability to travel, including internationally, for training, projects, and IPN activities
- Conduct investigations, trials, and process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality
- Set up machines and devices as required to support investigations and process development
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans in compliance with company standards, including process flow diagrams, control plans, PFMEA, PQIs, process control documentation, and standard work instructions
- Identify and resolve quality issues related to automated assembly technology
- Mentor hourly skilled associates in proactive process maintenance, including the development of qualification cards and training materials
- Support and execute PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities for assigned processes
- Lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and process utilization, aligning with Policy Deployment objectives
- Utilize MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and other analytics to actively participate in daily management, monitor performance, and implement continuous improvement measures
