Job Description- Perform investigations, trials, and improvements in manufacturing processes.
- Set up machines and devices to prepare investigations as indicated.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans according to company standards (including process flow diagrams, control plans, PFMEA, PQIs, process control documentation, standard work instructions, etc).
- Identifies and resolves quality issues related to automated assembly technology.
- Mentors hourly skilled associates in proactive maintenance of assigned processes, including development of qualification cards and other training material.
- Support and perform PPAP activities related to assigned processes.
- Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes in order to meet Policy Deployment objectives.
- Actively participate in daily management of area using MES and other analytics/data to meet targets and derive measures to continuously improve performance.
- BS in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) and 3+ years technical experience.
- Hands-on experience with highly automated equipment technologies- such as press/torque, robots, automated axis systems, vision systems, and feeding systems.
- Mechanical tool and hardware design/upgrade experience.
- Programming experience desirable (PLC programming, C#, Python, HTML/Javascript)
- Experience with data analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc)
- Experience in high volume/technology manufacturing processes within the automotive industry preferred.
- Ability to read and define electric drawings, pneumatic and/or hydraulic plans.
- Experience with lean manufacturing systems and concepts (BPS).
- Project leadership skills and the ability to prioritize workload to meet established targets.
- Ability to work on cross-functional teams with a high degree of self initiative.
- Experience utilizing problem solving techniques to solve complex manufacturing issues (Six Sigma, Shainin, 5 whys).
- Ability to travel (including internationally) for training, projects, and IPN activities.
