Overview

We have an exciting and rewarding opening for an Executive Director - RN to join our team in Daytona Beach FL!

Join us and find new ways to use your gift for leading others while making a meaningful impact in the lives of those in the care of your and your team. To qualify for this position, you MUST be a RN and have 1-2 years of recent hospice or home health management experience.

Executive Director Responsibilities:

  1. Report directly to our Assistant Vice President of Operations.
  2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of your assigned hospice location.
  3. Coordinate the admission of patients to Hospice Services in a smooth, systematic process.
  4. Arrange for ancillary services to ensure they are complimentary.
  5. Oversee the direction, supervision, and evaluation of hospice personnel and volunteers.
  6. Coordinate services of all team members of the multi-teamed site.
  7. Ensure ongoing communication with leadership.
  8. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence through focusing on quality care and/or service.
  9. Incorporate continuous quality improvement principles in day-to-day activities.
  10. Promote and monitor compliance with requirements and standards established by accrediting or licensing agencies, regulatory agencies, and state or federal law relevant to areas of responsibility.
  11. Recommend and implement policies and procedures.
  12. Promote positive communications and keep employees informed of changes.
  13. Provide core orientation and in-service training for employees, volunteers, and contract personnel.
  14. Supervise and evaluate interdisciplinary team members.
  15. Manage teams to goals and standards for performance; review and monitor progress regularly.
  16. Plan and organize tasks and resources to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
  17. Ensure documentation of services is accurate and timely.
  18. Monitor and supervise quality of patients' care of assigned location(s).
  19. Work with physicians, patients, families, staff, and others regarding problems, needs, and concerns.
  20. Manage financial resources prudently and effectively.
  21. Complete financial reviews in collaboration with the Administrator.

About You

Education:

  1. Registered Nurse with minimum of Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
  3. Master’s degree in business, nursing or related field preferred.

Experience:

  1. Minimum one year management/supervisory experience required.
  2. Two or more years’ experience in hospice/home care required (if also functioning as the Clinical Nursing Supervisor for the office location).
  3. Three years’ experience in direct patient care in a clinical setting preferred.
  4. Three to five years healthcare sales/management experience preferred.

Licenses, Certifications and/or Registration:

  1. Current license to practice nursing in the state of requested employment, if applicable.
  2. CPR Certification.
  3. Current automobile insurance and valid driver’s license.
