Position Overview:
QCH seeks a dedicated
Learning to Work (LTW) Program Director
to lead the LTW program at the
Young Adult Borough Center (YABC)
located at John Adams High School. The Program Director will oversee all program operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services for at-risk youth. This role involves strategic leadership, program development, staff supervision, and fostering strong relationships with participants and community partners. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in youth development, program management, and a passion for helping young adults achieve their academic and career goals. Primary Responsibilities:
Program Management and Development: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the LTW program, ensuring excellence in program delivery and participant outcomes. Design and implement program curricula, workshops, and activities aligned with the LTW model to address participant needs. Monitor program performance using QCH’s
Salesforce
data system, implementing improvements as needed to enhance effectiveness. Staff Supervision and Development: Recruit, train, and supervise program staff, including counselors and the internship coordinator. Provide ongoing professional development, coaching, and support to build a cohesive, high-performing team. Participant Support and Engagement: Ensure participants receive personalized support, including academic counseling, postsecondary planning, and soft-skill development. Cultivate a positive and inclusive program culture that prioritizes youth engagement and success. School Collaboration and Partnerships: Collaborate closely with school administration, faculty, and other stakeholders to integrate LTW into the school community. Develop partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and community stakeholders to expand opportunities for participants, such as internships and career exploration. Administrative and Compliance Duties: Manage program budgets and ensure alignment with organizational priorities. Prepare and submit timely reports, work plans, and documentation in accordance with QCH and NYC DOE funder requirements. Maintain compliance with all policies, regulations, and program standards. Other Responsibilities: Participate in QCH meetings, events, and training opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support organizational goals. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
in Education, Social Work, Youth Development, or a related field;
Master’s degree preferred . Minimum
3-5 years
of experience in youth program management, ideally within school or community-based settings. Proven experience in
staff supervision, program design, and budget management . Strong knowledge of
youth development best practices
and experience working with at-risk youth populations. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite
and data management systems (e.g., Salesforce). What You’ll Get:
