EMT Lab Assistant-Part Time

Provides support services for the EMT labs at the Lafayette campus including training/evaluating students and management of lab supplies/equipment.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide lab instruction to students and evaluate competencies according to CAAHEP Standards * Assist in maintaining equipment and reporting of needed repairs to program chair * Maintain and control instruments and supplies including inventory * Maintain and verify attendance records for the students * Set up supplies/instruments in advance for lab instruction as directed by curriculum * Basic organization and cleaning not performed by facilities * Provide updated daily information of student progress. Consult and assist program chair as requested in responding to student issues * Participate in professional development such as in-services, seminars, etc. to advance skills * Perform independent research as necessary * Adhere to accreditation requirements of CAAHEP in performance of all instructional-related requirements. * Adhere to program dress code
Perform other related duties as assigned consistent with commonly accepted practices.
Required Qualifications: Must hold a current National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification.
