Administrative Assistant / Leasing


Job Summary:

The Administrative Assistant facilitates the efficient operation of the leasing office by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. The Leasing duties include showing apartments to potential renters, lease apartments to qualified applicants, renew leases with current tenants, and perform managerial duties concerning the property as directed.



Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide courteous, efficient handling of all prospect and resident phone calls.
  • Greet tenants, prospects, and anyone else entering the leasing office.
  • Assist prospective and current tenants, answer inquiries.
  • Provide consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Assist in preparation of required documents and applications.
  • Know the geographical area of the community and be able to give location directions, as well as pertinent information about the community.
  • Assist in preparation and delivery of resident leases.
  • Assist in collection and posting of rent.
  • Maintain property files according to policy and tax credit requirements.
  • Take service requests from residents and coordinate work orders with the Maintenance Department.


Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Personable, professional attitude, sales oriented.
  • Outgoing, friendly attitude and ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to think on your feet and problem solve effectively.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and personal vehicle required.
  • Computer Competency: MS Office, outlook, utilizing property management software & marketing sites.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience in sales is preferred.
  • Experience in an administrative role.
