About the Role: As the HVAC Service Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing the service operations and managing a team of talented technicians. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of HVAC services to our clients while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Your expertise in HVAC systems, strong leadership skills, and ability to manage resources effectively will be instrumental in achieving operational excellence and driving the success of our service department.

About Us:

Illiana Heating & Air Conditioning has an opening for an HVAC service manager to lead our team of

service technicians. The service manager serves as a representative of the company and must have clear

and concise communication directly with our service team, customers, vendors and suppliers to provide

accurate information on the job.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage, train, and support HVAC maintenance and service teams to ensure quality and provide
  • technical support when needed
  • Supervises and directs the maintenance & service technicians as required to meet workload
  • demands, and company of customer expectations and requirements
  • Order and track materials required for jobs
  • Assist technicians with quotes for recommended work
  • Review technicians' work to ensure quality meets established standards, techniques and safety
  • requirements
  • Responsible for maintenance & service technicians' performance appraisals, reviews and for
  • setting improvement goals per company requirements
  • Conducts group and one-on-one meetings with technicians as required for training, evaluation and
  • general communication; participates and/or conduct regularly scheduled departmental
  • safety/informational meetings
  • Review and approve weekly timecards
  • Communicate regularly with dispatch to ensure that technicians are being scheduled properly by
  • skill level, efficiency and training requirements
  • Monitors HVAC service vehicles to ensure they are in an acceptable condition to allow technicians
  • to efficiently work out of the vehicle, and that an adequate inventory of parts and material are
  • maintained
  • Work with other departmental managers to meet company and departmental goals and objectives
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as required to maintain efficient service department operations
Requirements:
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • 5 years HVAC experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Exhibit an in-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC systems
  • Detail oriented and organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of boiler systems and indoor air quality products helpful
  • Possess a strong personal desire for improvement and the desire to motivate our technicians to be
better tomorrow than they are today
    • Ability to field after hours calls, if required
    • Valid and unencumbered driver's license
    • Ability to pass background check and drug testing
Compensation:

Starting pay is $70,000 per year. Bonuses are based on Service Department Revenue. Salary is negotiable and based on experience.
