Overview
This assembly position will be responsible for packaging products, assembly of kits, verifies form, fit, and function on products, assemble and package product according to the Bill Of Materials. This requires the understanding and adherence to follow the work instructions and ensure that the sub-assembly and finished good specifications are met. This assembler level has the capability to perform duties with the guidance of Assembler II, Sr. Assembler, leads and or supervisor. This role will be based in Rancho Dominguez and will report to the MFG Supervisor.

Responsibilities
The Assembler I will be responsible for:
- Perform packaging of assembled products
- Perform assembly of packaging boxes
- Follow detailed manufacturing and assembly procedures.
- Follow good manufacturing practices per standard operating procedures.
- Clean, maintain, and operate automated production equipment per Sr Operator guidance and adherence to SOP's.
- Clean and organize workbenches before and after shift.
- Comply with Good Documentation Practices on all Production and Quality Documents.
- Responsible for packaging products, assembly of kits, verifies form, fit, and function on products, assemble and package product according to the Bill Of Materials
- Operates lift and jack to move pallets
- Identifies quality problems and follows reporting procedures
- Follows job traveler requirements for assembly and verification
- Able to perform work on more than one product line and follow the schedule provided
- Understand blueprints and standard work instructions and apply them according to job specifications
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Peripheral vision and Depth perception.
- Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration
- Occasionally exposed to fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals or airborne particles
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- 0 - 1 years of production/manufacturing with medical device assembly experience preferred
