Manufacturing Associate (Assembler)

SUMMARY

Under close supervision, performs standardized assembly tasks of varying complexity on a variety of soap dispensers and related subassemblies. Must be able to function in a team oriented and continuously improving environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Under the direction of the Soap Dispensers Supervisor or designee, works on a production line or at individual job stations on a variety of tasks assembling parts into subassemblies or into completed units utilizing a variety of hand and power tools or simple machines.
  • Functions are more varied and complex than entry level assembly and a wider knowledge of product line is required.
  • May perform tests of product at either sub-assembly or final assembly points.
  • May be called upon to do repair or rework of assembled units or sub-assemblies.
  • Must be responsible for and knowledgeable of quality, workmanship and company production standards.
  • Capable of performing simple set-ups.
  • Must recognize and report problems, discrepancies, and failures in material, tooling, machinery and processes.
  • Demonstrated capability of performing the job of the Entry Level Assembler.
  • Understands the Four Level Defect Grading System and continually seeks out, reports, and contributes to problem solving in order to correct or prevent quality defects and errors.
  • Work in accordance with safety standards.
  • Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6 months to 1 year of assembly experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, sketches/shop drawings and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to operate specific equipment or tools and is required to comply with all safety rules and wear safety equipment.
  • Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30

Salary: $18.50 - 22.00
