Business Development Intern - Grocery (Marketing)

The Gellert Global Group (GGG) is the largest privately held food importer in the U.S. Comprised of several individual companies, the GGG sources the highest quality cheese, meats, frozen fruit, shelf stable fruit, vegetables, seafood, and specialty products. These items are sourced from over 60 countries and sold to leading retailers, food service distributors, restaurant chains, and food manufacturers. Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with the marketing and business development teams to create and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company's goals.
- Develop and execute digital and traditional marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
- Prospect potential clients, providing product information and addressing inquiries to generate new business.
- Manage and update Product Information Management System to support sales and business development product knowledge data.
- Analyze data to identify patterns, opportunities, and areas for improvement, contributing to data-driven decision-making processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination in delivering high-quality products and services.
- Support business development in all other business aspects.
- Weekly & Monthly Reporting
- Sample Requests for all BDMs
- Inventory Position Reports
- Involvement in warehouse projects to understand our supply chain
- CRM SOPs- using a Test Site account
- Gap Analysis reporting
- Pre Summer-Fancy Food Show reporting and presentation material
- Create and/or update presentation material
- Continued work on items missing from the PIM
- Rising Junior or Senior in college/university, pursuing bachelor's degree in a related field
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
- Strong business acumen and analytical ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organization skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and bias for action
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Demonstrated personal and professional values
